We are in the waves of the Internet of things, no
doubt, and Intel at dekut is at the forefront of this revolution. Intel at DeKUT Makers community invites you to Intel IoT Buildathon that takes place on 30th
September, 2015 at the DeHUB.
The Buildathon will focus on Intel
Galileo, Arduino and Intel Edison. Participants will also be mentored on how to build and
bring awesome hardware and software projects into reality. It is important to note that all this is made possible with Intel low
power, low energy processors.
It doesn't matter whether you are an
expert or a newbie, an engineer, designer, crafter or maker, Intel IoT
Buildathon is open to anyone who want
to learn how to provide wonderful and awesome solutions using Intel’s
latest technologies.

We will introduce Intel Edison and emphasize more on its low energy, low power features and how students can continue to aggressively explore key aspects of the board.

During this session we
will use the Intel Galileo and Intel XDK to build a Mobile controlled LED.
Disruptive
innovation by Intel Galileo/Edison 11:30 am- 12.30 pm
Enhanced technology that
replaces an existing technology or that succeeds similar technology and uses
either Intel Edison or Intel Galileo will be discussed during this session.

During this session, a
speaker will encourage more ladies to get involved in technology.

We will then have a live
demonstration on how we can run node Js on the Intel Galileo
Standing with Ahmed 3.30 am – 4.00 am
Last week, the internet united to support a science loving, clock building 14 years old student recently arrested for building a clock which was mistaken to be a bomb. With the power of Internet (Social Media) he was released and become American folk hero, and his story was amplified by the consumer tech platforms and leaders around Silicon Valley and even the US President.
We will build an Intel Galileo Clock for him. We will also talk about how students can get involved in current trends in technology (IoT), prototyping, prototyping and its future and how they can use the boards in their future innovations.
IoT
Startup x – hour 4:00 pm- 5.00 pm
We will give promising
IoT start-ups a chance to talk about their products. Various start up projects
that incorporate IoT and have gained recognition in competitions will be
showcased to students.
NB: The event is 100% free for those
who signed up. Ticket
will also serve as a stub for snacks, sneaks peaks etc.
